7 your dreams, your future, our challenge Curriculum Offer – Year 12 AS levels – typically 4 progressing to 3. Some subjects are following new specifications whilst some still follow old specifications. New specifications LINEAR – exam focus, greater content, AS grade discounted if continued at A2 Old specifications are MODULAR – higher coursework element, AS grade counts towards A2 BTEC & AS level – 1 BTEC with an accompanying AS level BTECs have a greater focus on coursework and continuous assessment rather than exams IFS Diploma – online examinations Year 12. Must pass to progress to Year 13 English and Maths resits – coursework grades carried forward. Examination only. November 2016 / June 2017. Must achieve a C or above or will need to resit Work Experience – Compulsory for all students - June 2017

8 your dreams, your future, our challenge Full Time student Study periods are for independent study Guided Learning hours will begin to appear on individuals TT as we progress English and Maths resits are compulsory for students without a C grade in English or Maths November 2016, June 2016 are the exam dates No C grade achieved in current Year 12 will need to resit in Year 13 Period 6 / Twilight sessions. These are not optional There is a logistical and philosophical reason to these Common across many sixth forms Timetable

9 your dreams, your future, our challenge

10 U grade at AS Level will mean you cannot continue with that subject in Year 13 E grade at AS level will mean you can only continue with that subject once discussed and ratified by the relevant Head of Faculty Vast Majority of students will need to ‘drop’ a subject in Year 13 You must have a minimum of 3 subjects to study – either carried forward or added Future developments for A level in September 2017 will complicate this Interims : October 2016, Feb 2017, March 2017 Internal exams : Jan 2017 Vitally important in tracking progress – some students may be taken off courses if interims and / or internal exams show they will fail AS Year 13 Progression
