3 September Check all UCAS subject references are completed by staff Any Law or Medicine students will need to have completed on-line tests LNAT/BMAT/UKAT Oxbridge applications to have personal statements checked & have interview practice Calculate ALPS target grades based on GCSE point scores. Year 12 Tutors go through these in Tutor Time and set curricular targets with teachers ready for first data collection Data collection suitability/baseline/targets/attitude to learning Social Committee and Student Council meetings Teaching and Learning Group set up Year 13 Uni or “other”? Careers Interviews for those that are not sure Year 13 writing personal statements and UCAS choices Interviews for Head Boy and Girl

4 October Head of 6 th Form meets with all Subject Leaders to discuss 6 th form student progress Ensure all Medicine/Vet/Law/Oxbridge applications are processed by 15 th October Sixth Form Parents Evening Charity Day Students start organising Christmas Ball Talk for students about student finance Work Experience launch with Year 12 and parents - 21 October 6pm

5 November 90% of UCAS sent off by end of month Remembrance Service with Head Boy and Girl Data collection 6 th form Head of 6 th Form Meeting with all Subject Leaders regarding 6 th form Student Progress Mock Interviews for Year 13

6 December All UCAS applications completed Year 12 register for UCAS card Christmas Ball Coffee and mince pies @ end of term

7 January Sixth Form Mock Exams Driving Standards Year 12 – Humberside fire and Rescue Data Collection and Reports Head of 6 th Form meet with all Subject Leaders to discuss 6 th form student progress

8 February Sixth Form Parents Evening – 11 th Feb Students apply for student finance for University Reports

9 March RYLA Young leaders award selection & interviews Mock Exams 6 th form Data Collection 6 th Form Photos 2 nd March Head of 6 th Form meet with all Subject Leaders to review 6 th form student progress Revision timetable to finalise and publish to staff/students/parents. Fix return date for A2 courses to start end of June. BTEC students to at least pass by Easter.

10 April Final preparation of students for exams, timetables, coursework deadlines. UCAS decisions Firm/Insurance individual deadlines based on date of last offer. Organise coaches for Yr. 12 Higher Education Convention and Rover form and letter to parents Cambridge residential visit

11 May Strawberries and Cream for Year 13 to say goodbye AS & A2 exams start

12 June 1 hour session with each year 12 Tutor Group to go over UCAS application Leaving Prom UCAS convention at Hull University Distribute UCAS subject reference pro-forma to teaching staff for Year 12

13 July Year 12 to write up personal statements. Work Experience week Talk for parents about student finance whilst at University
