2011 Season Proof of Performance

2011 Season Highlights Record Breaking Attendance: In the 2011 Season, the Rock Cats set a new attendance record by averaging 5,867 fans per game. On the season, the Rock Cats totaled 363,756 fans in just 62 openings. Attendance Totals & Achievements: Average Attendance Per Game: 5,867 (franchise record) Total Attendance: 363,756 Sell Outs: 27 (franchise record) Record Single Game Crowd: 8,512 (Saturday, June 25 th ) Record Weekend Attendance (3 games): 22,683 (June 24 th -26 th ) On the Field: The Rock Cats excelled on the field throughout the season. With a record of 72-70, the Rock Cats were in a fight for the Playoffs until the final game of the season, where they were just edged out by the Reading Phillies. Three Rock Cats major contributors from this season were sent up to the Minnesota Twins – Joe Benson (CF), Chris Parmelee (1B) and Liam Hendriks (RHP). The trio each made their debut on September 6, 2011, marking the first time in club history that three players making their Major League debuts were in the same starting lineup. Race the Spray The Eastern Aerosol Association sponsored the Aerosol Can Race at every Rock Cats home game. The Eastern Aerosol Association was featured on the field with 3 mascots, on the video board with trivia and logo, and through PA reads. The in-game promotion began with recycling trivia for fans. This occurred over the PA system and on the video board. Then the race began! Here was the race script: Let’s get back to the Aerosol Can Race. We have our hall of famer Shave Cream running against an all time favorite Hair Spray and the rookie Sun Screen! POST RACE - LOOKS LIKE OUR AEROSOL CAN IS EMPTY…LET’S MAKE SURE WE PUT OUR EMPTY AEROSOL IN THE RECYCLE BIN! AEROSOLS…RESPONSIBLE PACKAGING! Brought to you by the Eastern Aerosol Association.
