2. My enjoyment in hockey
When I was younger my dad would try to bring me into hockey. He was a huge Vancouver Canucks fan and try to make me the same. But I was stubborn. I disliked it and thought of it as boring and I would rather play video games. Eventually I gave in and decided to watch the Canucks playoff run to the Stanley cup finals and began to enjoy the sport. I was heartbroken when the Canucks lost in 2011 and always imagined getting revenge at the Boston Bruins when I grow up. After that year, that’s when I started wanting to play hockey.

3. My progress in development
At first I was really weak at skating and was sort of embarrassing for my mom. But slowly but surely I started improving rapidly. My first year in the league ( ) I was really standing out in many ways my coach said. I definitely was not the best player but throughout the year I improved a lot. I was definitely a different player from the start of the year to the end.

4. My first year
My first year in the league (last year) was one of the greatest experiences o my life. I really felt like I was on a team an just happened to get on the best team in Poco and the league. We outscored every team we faced and rarely ever lost. Towards the end is when I started scoring. At the end of the year I scored around 10 goals and 10 assists but I improved a lot from the beginning.

5. My second year (This year)
My second year was the start of a completely different experience. This time I was one of the best players. Over the summer I went to four hockey camps so I had a lot o time to develop and get conditioned for the season. Right off the bat I noticed I started scoring more. As of right now I am on pace to get triple the amount o goals then I did last season. I contribute to the team every game whether it is by scoring, creating offence, or playing defense. However, my team is not the best so even though I have been scoring easier, winning is a lot harder.

6. My YHL career
YHL (Youth Hockey League) is a spring league that has no practices and is 9-12 games long depending on how well you do in the playoffs. I have been playing for this league for 4-5 years and it’s great for development because it is as intense as the regular 40 game league. Anyways in the beginning I obviously was not very good. The only highlight about that year was I scored my very first goal ever and an assist. The next year surprisingly I actually did worse getting 0 points that year. My third year is what really got me starting to strive to be great. I was on a pretty good team that had 3-4 VERY good players. I scored the most I have ever scored that year (at that time) with 6 goals. Finally my latest year is when I really took off. That year my team went to the finals and lost but was an amazing experience. That year I scored 12 goals and 8 assists or 20 points in 12 games. That made my family really proud.
