1 Rookie Division Rams Sluggish Start Leads to First Loss to Saints 22-18 It appeared as though the Rams were moving in slow motion during the first half of this week’s competition against the Saints. But as the sun broke through the clouds, so did the Rams’ determination, effort and focus on their opponent. Slow to start, but refusing to be shut out, the Rams’ offense put points on the board in style with a rushing touchdown from Lester Blount and Christopher Saunders, and a reception run in for touchdown by Isaiah Scuderi. D-E-F-E-N-S-E!! That’s right, the Rams’ defense showed up strong in the second half, shutting out the Saints’ offense. Steven Deniston, Darrius Hill, Stefon Middleton and Zaahid Ramakdawala were snatching flags! Joshua Gray, Jonathon Mack, Aaron McDaniel and Dylan Tayman-Dodson were hustling all over the field forcing their opponent to the sidelines or into an oncoming defender. Great teamwork! Although this game will be recorded as a loss in the record books, the Rams were true winners, showing the coaches and parents how dedicated they were by not giving up and almost pulling off a come-from-behind win. The coaching staff compliments the team on their efforts on the field and display of good sportsmanship!!

In the first half, we had only pulled 2 flags; in the second half, we had 11 and shut out our opponent for the second time in a row for a great second half performance. We have a lot of potential on this team and as the weeks go on, the coaching staff wants to see improvement in practice and the games. Great job by everyone. GO RAMS!!!! Coach Middleton

7 Rookie Division Rams Suffer Second Loss of Season to the Redskins 20-6 Although the Rookie division Rams suffered their second loss this season to division leading Redskin, the Rams are showing marked improvement in their skill level individually and, more importantly, as a team. The Rams -- Lester Blount, Steven Deniston, Joshua Gray, Darrius Hill, Jonathon Mack, Aaron McDaniel, Stefon Middleton, Zaahid Ramakdawala, Christopher Saunders, Isaiah Scuderi, and Dylan Tayman-Dodson – all brought varying levels of skill and understanding to the field. Coach Middleton’s Rams understand that winning is not the most important thing to gain from this season. With each practice, Coach Middleton and his staff teach the boys valuable football skills as well as how to work together as team mates. Great effort Rams!! You can hold your heads high knowing that you gave your best efforts on the field!.

10 Rookie Division Rams Show “Can’t Quit” Effort in Loss to Falcons 32-0 As Coach Middleton said after the game, this game may go in the loss column in the scorebook, but it was a WIN for the team. Although the Rams had several players absent or sidelined, those who were on the field never gave up, “leaving everything they had on the field”. This game, the Rams learned a valuable lesson about TEAM EFFORT. Everyone contributes -- whether on the sideline by cheering on their team mate or on the field running out every down until the whistle blows. Rookie Rams -- Lester Blount, Steven Deniston, Joshua Gray, Darrius Hill, Jonathon Mack, Aaron McDaniel, Stefon Middleton, Zaahid Ramakdawala, Christopher Saunders, Isaiah Scuderi, and Dylan Tayman-Dodson -- GREAT EFFORT in the face of defeat. You’re showing improvement with every game – win or loss!
