2 More than 106 years ago, Carl Fisher had a vision for a 2 1/2–mile track on the outskirts of Indianapolis. The facility opened in 1909 and two years later, Ray Harroun won the first Indianapolis 500 with an average speed of 74.602 miles per hour 2

3 Today, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway plays a significant role in the state’s economy. A recent public policy study put the IMS impact at $500 million, with 23,000 direct Indiana motorsports industry jobs 3

4 Progress at IMS and IndyCar  With Mark Miles at the helm of Hulman & Co.  Set five-year company goals, including aggressive attendance goals  Recruited leadership team  TV ratings and viewership up in 2014  New series title sponsor – Verizon -- and other new partnerships  Transitioned to a diverse schedule that is condensed and consistent, with a championship season that ends on Labor Day Weekend  Established new energy and momentum for the month of May at Indianapolis Motor Speedway  Initiated planning for 100 th Running of the Indianapolis 500 in 2016 4

5 What we’re working on  New aerodynamic body kits for Verizon IndyCar Series participants, which debut in March  Working toward a new track record at Indianapolis 500 in 2016  Average qualifying speed for the 33-car field for the 2014 Indianapolis 500 was 229.382 miles per hour, the fastest overall average in 500 history  International races early in the year to start the season  Better facilities and fan experiences at IMS with Project 100, a partnership between the state of Indiana and IMS  More community engagement, partnerships at IMS 5

6 The new May at IMS  Re-energized the month  Added Grand Prix of Indianapolis, now with title sponsor Angie’s List  Partnered with IU Health/Methodist Hospital Foundation, for charitable event, Rev, which raised $100,000 for statewide trauma efforts in first year  Improved qualifications weekend to two meaningful days. More consequence and drama  More entertainment, big name Legend’s Day concert on night before Indianapolis 500. Florida George Line announced as 2015 performers  ABC telecasts of all three weekends of action resulted in higher ratings  Attendance up 30 percent in May 2014 6
