Junior Year Take the ACT and/or SAT Test Prep! Improve your test scores through test prep. Start narrowing your college choices. Look for programs that you are interested in. Start taking college visits – you get two! Start looking at application and scholarship deadlines to prepare for the fall semester of your senior year.

Senior Year September/ October Start finalizing your list of schools to apply Have three choices: dream school, reality and back-up school Start taking your college visits! You get FOUR! Take the ACT and/or SAT! Start writing first drafts of essays If you are playing sports complete the NCAA Clearinghouse form Start looking at Edmond North Counseling Website for Scholarship information FAFSA – Early Application

Senior Year November 1-15: Early Decision and Early Action Deadlines Keep copies of applications and essays Give a form to your counseling office if your college requests seventh semester grade December ACT is your last chance to take the test before most February 1st scholarship deadlines Be completing applications for both admission and scholarship to the college you have selected.

ACT and/or SAT Most colleges will accept either test Most Oklahoma students take the ACT, however we encourage students to explore their options and the SAT is encouraged. All Juniors will be given an ACT exam free of charge – March 29 th It is recommended to take the test more than once to maximize scores.
