Rock Inquiries Observe rock samples and develop questions you have about the rocks on Padlet and the class will discuss the questions. SUBSTITUTION Technology acts a direct substitute, with no functional improvement Take a look at the different rock examples provided by your teacher. Teacher’s name/ School: Molo Middle Louisiana State Standard:16. Compare the physical characteristics of rock and mineral specimens to observe that a rock is a mixture of minerals (ESS-M-A5) 18. Describe how sedimentary, igneous, and metamorphic rocks form and change in the rock cycle (ESS-M-A6) Grade Level/Subject: 8th / Earth Science Special Directions/Considerations: Must have access to computers. Activity Evaluation: Teacher makes sure all students are working on the activity Prerequisites for students: Students must have been issued a username / password to log on to CPSB computers / laptops.

3 M Rock Cycle Using your assigned iPad, launch Doodle Buddy app.
Students will use a drawing app such as doodle bug or drawing pad to create the rock cycle. MODIFICATION Technology allows for the creation of new tasks that were previously not conceivable Using your assigned iPad, launch Doodle Buddy app. 2. Draw and label all the aspects of the rock cycle. Your work will be displayed on the Promethean Board using Apple TV and you will explain your drawings to the class. Log in to Mr. Thibodeaux’s Blackboard and click on the Discussion Board link titled Parts of the Rock Cycle. Click Create a Thread and add your drawing. Title the thread Rock Cycle.
