1 Technology acts a direct substitute, with no functional improvement
Tick Tock Pendulums You are going to watch a video on a piece of tech and then create a question and save it to a folder on the h-drive to share with others and use for Socratic Circle SUBSTITUTION Technology acts a direct substitute, with no functional improvement Go to the following website by clicking on this link. Watch the video with headphones After you have finished watching the video watch it again if you feel like you do not understand what a pendulum is. Go to open office or office word Type your name, date, and class Create a question about pendulums Go to your H-drive and click on school share Then look for Dequincy Middle Find Mrs. Yellott’s Science Class Find your color and save it to that folder. This task uses: Lap tops Desk tops I pads Headphones edpuzzle Learning Objective(s): You are going to learn about pendulums and the their relationship to string length. You are going to graph a pendulums period with different string lengths. You are going to decide of the different parts of variables in an experiment. TEACHER NOTES: Teacher’s name/ School: DeQuincy Middle Louisiana State Standard: Generate testable questions about objects that can be answered through scientific investigation (Si-M-A!) Grade Level/Subject: 6th grade Physical Science Special Directions/Considerations: Activity Evaluation: Prerequisites for students: students know how to access their H-drive, and word. They know how to use headphones, and log on to tech pieces.

2 Tick Tock and Questions
AUGMENTATION Technology acts as a direct tool for substitution with some functional improvement. You are going to use a piece of tech to answer the questions of the white board. Get a computer and open Word. Type your name date and class Answer the following questions in word. You must use RAPCC if the answer is not a multiple choice. After you have completed your answers save it to our class h-drive folder QUESTIONS. Be sure and use spell check and grammar check on your answers. LAPTOPS DESKTOPS IPADS WORD H-DRIVE White board PowerPoint Promethean Learning Objective(s): You are going to learn about pendulums and the their relationship to string length. You are going to graph a pendulums period with different string lengths. You are going to decide of the different parts of variables in an experiment. They know how to use headphones, and log on to tech pieces.

3 M Tick Tock and Graphing
You are going to use a piece of tech to graph motion and time of pendulums and t hen repost it to blackboard. MODIFICATION Technology allows for the creation of new tasks that were previously not conceivable You are going to create a pendulum system using the materials in your lab. Follow the directions on your lab/graph sheet After you have completed your lab and graphing go to the following web site. Use this page and choose which graph you wish to regraph your data. Log into Mrs. Yellott’s Blackboard and save it to the discussion group Tick Tock This task uses: LAP TOPS DESK TOPS IPADS WORD H-DRIVE Learner.org blackboard Learning Objective(s): You are going to learn about pendulums and the their relationship to string length. 4 Socratic Circle and Class Flow
You are going to use a piece of tech to answer the questions and repost them to Blackboard. You will also be using whole class discussion using Class Flow Whiteboard REDEFINITION Technology allows for the creation of new tasks that were previously not conceivable I will use the questions we used in the Socratic circle that you saved to the h-drive. You are going to a choose 3 questions and answer the questions you listed on your paper in your groups. After 15 minutes we are going to come together and discuss and elaborate on the answers and questions using the Class Flow Whiteboard. Log into Mrs. Yelllott’s Blackboard and add your questions to Tick Tock on the discussion board.
