1.ABSTRACT: This paper describes a developed continuous patient monitoring system based on the XBee protocol. The system was tested in the hospital environment using six sensor devices in two different modes. For electrocardiogram transmission and in the absence of hidden-nodes, the system achieved a mean delivery ratio of 100% and 98.56%, respectively for star and 2-hop tree network topologies.

2.OBJECTIVES: In recently, wireless sensor networks are used to structure home- care system in many researches. Wireless sensor networks application for physiological signals communication transmission has many technologies, such as the Infrared, Bluetooth and XBee, etc.

4. METHODOLOGY: In this project we are going to monitor as well as control the three parameters i.e. saline bottle, Temperature and movement of that particular patient. This health monitoring system consisted of three sensors that we are going monitor. Then this data is send to the processor. In this system Wireless node is nothing but the XBee which is connect through the RS232 cable to USB (Serial communication) and send data to ARM Processor.

5. ADVANTAGES & DISADVANTAGES:  ADVANTAGES: 1.The patients in the ICU need a constant monitoring of their Temperature and heart beat. 2. Any abnormality felt by the patient is indicated by an alarm signal. 3. Works even when the patient is in unconscious state. 4. The patient-staff ratio is very low, so these kind of advanced equipment is necessary.

 DISADVANTAGES: This project incorporates sensors to measure important parameters

6.APPLICATIONS: 1.Body temperature data. 2.Galvanic skin response measurements. 3.Body position detection. 4.Monitoring ECG signal. 5.Pulse and oxygen functions. 6.Multiple data visualization systems.

7.CONCLUSION: We have analyzed the wireless patient health monitoring system of temperature and heartbeat of humans using XBee, GSM, and SMS. Any abnormalities in health conditions are informed via SMS To the indicated mobile number through GSM. The Hard ware is implemented and the out put is studied
