1.ABSTRACT: As p art of earthquake process, earth’s surface is being deformed as earthquake faults accumulate strain & slip or slowly creep over time. We use GPS to monitor this movement by measuring precise position of stations near active faults relative to each other. In this paper, seismic monitoring is made through a real time analysis using GPS technology. This paper explains how GPS will be used to measure the movement of the earth, this may be in form of lateral movement or vertical displacement. Here GPS enables direct fault motion measurement in earthquake using one or more GPS’s three basic components, i.e. absolute location, relative movement & time transfer. The technology here uses GPS information to measure vital stats on a quake.

The technology use is referred as, “GPS Based Earthquake detection and Warning system”. Because of its accuracy & precision, the technology has played a vital role in sensing the area précised to 5mm. We here are using the GPS data automatically to calculate the location, magnitude & other details about the earthquake fault. GPS receiver is vital component in are paper because it is stationed to receive the satellite’s signal, so that movement could be measured with pinpoint accuracy.

2.OBJECTIVES: The main objective of this project is to monitoring the Earthquake issues by using Seismic Noise Detection Sensor and the relevant information will be displayed on the LCD display via ARM controller. The location of the earthquake will identified by using GPS.

4. METHODOLOGY: In the proposed method GPS Based Earthquake detection and Warning system the main controlling device is ARM controller. When any issues regarding the earthquake is happening that time this seismic sensor will senses that signal and displays the information on LCD display Via ARM controller. The location of the earthquake happening will be send to the concerned community via GPS and GSM. The GPS will send the Latitude and Longitude of the location to the concerned community via GSM.

5. ADVANTAGES & DISADVANTAGES:
Speed and sufficient reliable for recognition system. Good performance system with complex background. The radial form division and boundary histogram for each extracted region, overcome the chain shifting problem, and variant rotation problem. Fast and powerful results from the proposed algorithm. Simple, fast, and easy to implement. No Training is required. To minimize loss of property and lives, To aid rescue operations, and To assist recovery from earthquake damage

DISADVANTAGES: 1. One time investment cost.

6. APPLICATIONS: Public: Citizens, including schoolchildren, drop, cover, and hold on; turn off stoves, safely stop vehicles. Businesses: Personnel move to safe locations, automated systems ensure elevators doors open, production lines are shut down, sensitive equipment is placed in a safe mode. Medical services: Surgeons, dentists, and others stop delicate procedures. Emergency responders: Open firehouse doors, personnel prepare and prioritize response decisions. Power infrastructure: Protect power stations and grid facilities from strong shaking.

7.CONCLUSION: Despite the progress made in understanding the physics of the earthquake, the prediction of earthquake we can made today are inevitably uncertain mainly because of highly complex nature of the earthquake. But with the advancement through GPS system technology we can now mitigate the risk of disaster like earthquake. Using GPS we could easily monitor the earthquake in real time and continuous frame. With this technology we could easily monitor the deformation on earth surface under the range 5mm or less by monitoring the displacement curve with seismic released energy data and by monitoring the crustal stress.
