3. 1.ABSTRACT: This system proposes the solution for improving the services provided by the transport management by using GPS and GSM modem integration. The system mainly consists of two modules. Bus station module & Bus module.

4. 2.OBJECTIVES: The purpose of the project is to know the location of the Buses with the GPS and sended as SMS through GSM module. In this process sometimes we don’t know how much time they have to wait for bus at stations.In this case this information is useful to passengers.

METHODOLOGY: This project GPS-GSM integration for enhance public transportation management services will be use full to find out the current location of the bus on a particular route for city buses, private travels as well as RTC buses. This project contains two embedded system modules one will placed inside the bus and the other will be placed at the bus stops. The location of bus can be find out using GPS and can be sent to bus stop using GSM. Key pad will be helpful for location the location of the stop manually to the bus stop.

7. 5. ADVANTAGES & DISADVANTAGES:  ADVANTAGES: 1.Automatic way of finding the location of the vehicle. 2.Consumes less power. 3. Provides very accurate data via GPS system. 4. Allows the remote location of asset from anywhere there is cellular Service.. 5.Facilitates simple asset recovery and tracking. 6.Helps the visually disabled to navigate safely. 7.Information system at complicated places can be made automatic. 8.Improving the capacity of the system helps to cover large areas.

8.  DISADVANTAGES: The only thing that is clear about constitutional protections for location-based service information is the lack of clarity.

10. 7.CONCLUSION: In this System the transport management, designed and developed a low cost system based on integration of GPS and GSM data is described. The system consists of different modules which are linked wirelessly with GSM modems. Cost effective SMS service of GSM network is used for the transfer of data between the modules. A new service, to facilitate the people who use public transport for traveling, is introduced inside the cities. The service provides the user with current location information of desired buses based on which the user can adjust his schedule accordingly
