Morning Procedures Morning procedures are very important. They make a great start to the day! Follow RISE expectations in the hall BEFORE you come to class. Get breakfast BEFORE coming to class. Come in Quietly (morning time is quiet time) Turn in any assignments Make your lunch choice Work on morning work assignment. Your morning work will Always be on the board When the announcements come on you are SILENT Pledge of Allegiance! Stand Face the flag Hand over your heart

Homework 20 minutes of Reading each night Parents sign student planner 1 Reading passage and questions each week (in place of reading log for one night) Math practice worksheet- Given on Monday due on Friday Homework sheets will be collected and checked on Friday Surprise planner checks throughout the week for rewards.

Restroom KEEP THE RESTROOM CLEAN Before school Break before lunch On the way back from block On the way back from recess If an emergency use restroom pass One free pass per day- 2 restricted recess

Pencil Sharpening DONE BEFORE SCHOOL You need at least 2 sharpened pencils each day Mechanical pencils are okay- not distracting If your pencil is dull or not sharpened leave it in the not sharpened box- pencils will be collected at the end of the day- 2 nd load will sharpen all pencils. If your pencil breaks and you do not have another take one from the sharpened bin. Mrs. Buchanan HATES the sound of a pencil sharpener.

When You Are Finished.. Look to the “Must do/ Can do” board in the front of the room. The assignment at hand will always be on the “Must do” board. On the “Can do” side of the board you will see different options of what do when you are finished.
