Montini Primary Center FAQ’s AM ARRIVAL Buses arrive 8:15 thru 8:35 Car riders should not arrive before 8:20 School day 8:35 with outdoor pledge & song Students are invited to lead pledge & song on their birthdays. Saturday birthdays on the Friday before; Sunday birthdays on the Monday after. Summer birthdays are invited on their ½ birthday (June in December etc.) unless classroom teacher has a different schedule. Parents are welcome to come and take pictures, videos (No student has to lead pledge if they choose not to)

RECESS Arrival “recess” on the blacktop northeast of the school is WALK & TALK only – many children in a small space. No bumps or bruises before school begins please! (Volunteer Opportunity!) A morning or afternoon recess is encouraged for individual classrooms or grade levels during fair weather, especially on days when a class does not have PE. Students have 20 minutes of recess as part of their lunch hour (12:00-1:00) (Volunteer Opportunity!)

Lunch 12:00 Lunch 12:30 recess (Volunteer opportunity) Please be aware, respectful and cooperative with peanut allergy guidelines in your child’s classroom. Please, no fast food deliveries!

THURSDAY FOLDER Comes home on occasional Thursdays with oldest or only child Contents include forms that cannot be posted on our website. Return to school the next day, EMPTY! Do not insert tuition or notes to the office or teacher. Weekly information is ed each Thursday. Contact the Primary Center ( ) if you don’t receive the .

Dismissal (early dismissal 11:20) Car rider pickup – St. Pat’s east parking lot (specific parking directions distributed at August Open House) All changes in routine must be called in to the school office (written note also acceptable). Please do not or verbally communicate changes with classroom teacher. All transportation plans are handled through the school office.

OTHER TIDBITS Mass weekly St. Patrick Church. Parents are welcome to join us. Gym shoes are needed for PE days and are acceptable for everyday wear. If it’s not on the school supply list, it should not come to school (toys, electronics, etc.) unless requested by the classroom teacher. Primary students love to play outdoors – please dress your students for periods of outdoor play. NOAA is checked minutes before lunchtime recess to determine the safety of outdoor play. Students are excused from recess only with a doctors note.

OTHER TIDBITS Check Montini’s website for teachers’ addresses and individual classroom websites. s will be answered in hours. Issues needing a quicker response should be communicated by note or phone.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITES 8:15 Arrival –assist students at bus stop & crosswalks. Ensure safe passage from parking lot & bus stop to blacktop area. Indoor lunch – supervise classroom while students eat. Outdoor lunch -- assist teacher(s) in supervising outdoor play. Classroom teachers will also have sign up sheets for reading aides, party aides, special activity help. DADS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME!
