 The Foundation's mission is the professional development of individuals in the Information Technology industry.  4 Key Focus Areas:  Research  Services  Volunteers  Programs

 The Foundation for IT Education, as an independent body representing:  Practitioners  Educators  Researchers  Seeks to provide leadership in identifying educational opportunities that will advance the information systems profession.

 To provide educational programs and events  To determine the needs and desires of IT professionals with regard to professional education and development.  To develop and implement IT educational courses and programs  To encourage the IT profession in the development and adoption of technical and managerial IT standards and preferred practices.  To assist educational institutions in the development of effective business IT curricula.

 The Foundation is governed by a volunteer Board of Regents previously introduced  We volunteer our time, talent and energy to support projects, programs, and initiatives like:  ISECON/CONISAR (registration staff)  AITP National Collegiate Conference  Scholarship Reviews & Selections  Scholarship Fund Management

 Sponsors the highly successful Information Systems Education Conference (ISECON) and Conference on Information Systems Applied Research (CONISAR) and works “VERY CLOSELY” with AITP’s EDSIG to make this event hugely successful  Impromptu Vote: Have “WE” done good?  Provides Event Planning & Execution Resources  Annual sponsor of the AITP NCC event (since 1996)  Sponsors a grants and awards program for colleges and universities as well as individuals and organizations, to provide funds for projects that further educate in the areas of information processing.  IT Scholarship Programs

 The society recognizes friends of the Foundation who have either funded or planned a deferred gift, such as a bequest or a life income plan.  It is named in honor of the Data Processing Management Association (DPMA) which rose to prominence during the pioneering days of the information technology profession and provided many of us with valuable professional growth opportunities, outstanding professional fellowship, and lifelong friendships.  DPMA Reunion => DPMA Legacy Society Jamboree
