1 Leadership Foundation 101

2 Leadership Foundation’s Mission
The Delta Sigma Pi Leadership Foundation exists to generate and provide financial support for Delta Sigma Pi Fraternity’s educational and charitable programs, which assist members to achieve individual and professional excellence within the business community. As far back as 1945 Delta Sigma Pi began to give consideration to forming a charitable foundation to support its educational and scholastic endeavors with the Educational Foundation. In 1978, the Leadership Fund was created. The Leadership Fund and the Educational Foundation were merged to create the Leadership Foundation in 1993. Today, the Delta Sigma Pi Leadership Foundation continues the strong tradition of supporting our Fraternity and its members. Today, brothers of Delta Sigma Pi continue to ensure the progress of our Fraternity through their contributions to our Leadership Foundation. The Mission of the Leadership Foundation is exclusively charitable in nature and is as follows: "The Delta Sigma Pi Leadership Foundation exists to generate and provide financial support for Delta Sigma Pi Fraternity’s educational and charitable programs, which assist members to achieve individual and professional excellence within the business community."

6 Where Can I Find… www.dsp.org
A listing of scholarships and applications? A list of funds seeking endowment? Information about giving levels and giving clubs? A way to give a gift online? How to be a Deltasig For Life Donor? There may be times you’re asked questions or have more questions yourself about the Foundation. Where can you go.? You can find more information about scholarships, endowments, giving levels and more at within the Leadership Foundation section. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, call the Central Office or any Leadership Foundation Trustee for assistance.

7 Leadership Foundation Supporters
The Foundation has a lot of donors including alumni members, collegians and corporate and non-member donors too. The Collegiate donations make up a very small percentage of the total funds raised by the Leadership Foundation. The reason why is because you are to be the primary beneficiaries of funding efforts. One of the lessons taught by Delta Sigma Pi is that there is more to be gained through giving than by taking. The Leadership Foundation certainly wants our Deltasig brothers to give generously when called upon. However, for the Foundation to fulfill its purpose, brothers, especially collegiate members, must also take. So take advantage of the scholarships and educational programs that the Leadership Foundation offers to you, and support the Foundation to help it grow and expand its impact when you are able. Provide for it as it has provided for you.

8 Where does the support go?
Where does the money go for the Leadership Foundation? In addition to operational expenses, scholarship to individuals including Collegians of the Year and grants to chapters, the Foundation gives tens of thousands of dollars annually to the Fraternity via grants that support LEAD events, Grand Chapter Congress, Educational & Leadership Consultant program, Collegiate Leadership Development, Scholarship Keys, volunteer development and alumni programming.

13 Leadership Foundation Management
Who operates the Foundation? Leadership Foundation Trustees Central Office Staff Volunteers How do I become a Foundation Trustee?
