U NIVERSITY W EBSITE The university website contains all the information you need during your time with us. To access the DMU students webpage select the More button and then MyDMU from the navigation pane on the left of the screen. Select Login. You can also access it from most student web pages by looking for the MyDMU link. Alternatively go to
F IRST T IME L OG I N Username : P (Your P number) Password : DD/MM/YY (Your Date of Birth) When logging in for the first time only enter the last two digits for your year of birth e.g. Jan 10 th 1994 would be entered as 10/01/94 The first time you log in you will be prompted to change your password. (Must be between 8 & 32 characters and must contain at least one number. Remember it is case sensitive.) After changing your password restart the browser so that the change takes effect) Now you have access to myDMU, Athens, Student , Blackboard In future you can change your password at:-

F REE IT R ESOURCES Eduroam –Free access to campus wide wireless network Office 365 –download free of charge. –Subscription are annual but can be renewed while still a student at the university. –Can install on up to five computers (any combination of PC and/or Mac) and also on five mobile devices (any combination of Android and/or iOS). Microsoft IT Academy –Free access to online software training whilst a student at the University –Hundreds of software titles available –Available in different languages – including French, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese and Hindi –Can enrol on three courses at a time –Have 150 days to complete a course once it is started –Technical applications, server software and application software are available
eLearning Blackboard is a web-based virtual learning environment used at DMU to support your learning. Blackboard provides access to online learning materials from any computer with internet access. It enables you to continue your learning activities, collaborate and access resources away from the lecture room.

K IMBERLIN L IBRARY I.T. R ESOURCES Learning Zones provide spaces for group and individual work Equipped with workstations (PC and Mac), Power for laptops Bookable syndicate rooms with plasma screens, whiteboards and DVD facilities. Over 500 networked PCs, providing access to a wide range of databases, e- journals, the Internet and , as well as to applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, Adobe Creative Suite and specialist software tools. Standard A4 and A3 Black & White and Colour Printing can be sent from any PC and printed off on any device on campus. Photocopying and scanning can also be carried out on any device on campus. Within Kimberlin Library specialist printing of A4 acetates, A4 soft gloss and A3 High Quality is also available in the 1st Floor IT area. Use your student card at any machine and you can print to any printer at the university. £5 free printer credit to use on any machine (given on enrolment and start of each academic year) This is equivalent to 125 pages of black and white printing. This increases to £10 for third year students. Printers available in all student areas Manage your printing and print top-up online at You can credit your account with anything from £2.50 right up to £1,000 Any credit you add to your account is non-refundable.
