Blog: Here you can find: - Upcoming activities and events. - Pictures taken during these activities and events. - Educational games and resources linked to current topics being covered. - More…

Self-registration: Every child has a boy or girl avatar. Each of these will be kept in a pocket in the classroom by the door. Every morning each student will find theirs and show it to the webcam. The webcam scans the QR code at the back and automatically registers the child as present.

Reward Systems: 1. Smileys Chart 2. Pebble Jar

Reading: 1. Guided reading (Bug Club) - Children are divided in 3 different levels. - I can change their groups accordingly. - I will be assigning books to read online from home according to their reading ability.

Reading: 2. Classroom Library: - Every Friday - Children choose book themselves. - They will have a handout to write the title of the book chosen and date for the parents to sign.

Communication book: If possible do not talk to me after school time, as there is a school policy that strictly states to do so. This is for very obvious reasons. It is best if we keep a copybook (brown cover) called Communication book, on which we can correspond. Kindly sign all notes written by me or Ms. Grech, so that we will know that the note has been read and understood by a parent/guardian. Thank you.

Homework: Kindly check that your child has done all his/her homework. I will emphasize this! Coming to school without homework or missing items is not an excuse. Kindly understand that we cannot check each and every pupils’ bag, under their desks, notebooks, etc... Emphasize with your children that they should be responsible for their stuff and make sure they have everything they need. (Refer to avatars).

Pink Copybook: To use with other teachers when I am absent, or when they finish off an exercise I will give them some extra work to do on this copybook.

Wrapping Paper Box: To keep glue, scissors, paint brushes, plastic money, etc... at school but not in satchel for safety purposes and to minimize losses.

Graduation: Since I am going to graduate this year, I might not be present for a day or two. Kindly understand and cooperate.

Money for outings: Kindly send the money for the outing a day before. Money on the day of the outing will not be accepted as per head instructions.

Money for photocopies: Year 2 teachers will be collecting €5 for photocopies. Malti Għalina t-Tfal

Gingerbread man: This week we will be cooking a gingerbread man at school to link it with the story we did last week. More information can be accessed from the blog.

Very Important!!! If there are any food allergies or anything that I should know about, it is imperative that I am made aware immediately.

Maths Fun Game: Every Friday we will be doing a fun game about the maths topics covered during that week. For revision purposes. Children are expected to revise and be prepared for these since teachers will only give instructions and guidelines. The children will have to come up with the answer. Without marks.

Feel free to ask questions or talk to me in private. Thank you for your time and attention.
