A closer look at our… PBIS Plan for Glenn Dale Elementary Behavior Incentive Program

The Four Expectations The four gator expectations that are the foundation of the PBIS plan are: I am RESPECTFUL. I am SAFE. I am RESPONSIBLE. I am PREPARED.

Colors GREEN - Every day is a new day, and every student starts on green. If you stay on green the whole day, that means that you have met all of Glenn Dale’s expectations and you earn a ticket. YELLOW – Student will go to the time-out desk in the back of the room for 10 minutes and fill out a problem solving log. After the 10 minutes are completed, the student must submit the completed problem solving log. ORANGE – Student will be asked to leave the class and go to another classroom where they will sit at the designated time-out area for 20 minutes and fill out a letter to their parents or guardians explaining their behavior. As a further consequence, a phone call will be made to the parent/guardian.

Colors (cont.) Red – Student will be referred to the office with official documents. Students have already attended an assembly on Code of Student Conduct and have been made aware of expectations in all areas of school.

Student of the Month There will be one positive character trait chosen each month A student will be nominated for demonstrating this character trait Ex: kind, honest, generous
