Howard & The Four I’s 1. Idealized Influence- He “walks the talk.” He acts in accord with Starbuck’s beliefs and values every day. “To walk the talk all the time, you have the focus on the small things.” 2. Inspirational Motivation- He made Starbucks’ Mission Statement… “To inspire and nurture the human spirit--one person, on cup, and one neighborhood at a time.” He believes that by empowering his employees, he will get the most out of them. “Giving people freedom in their work will get the best results.”

Howard & The Four I’s Cont. 3. Intellectual Stimulation- Starbucks appreciates feedback from the employees and they felt empowered and encouraged. Starbucks one of the most thriving innovations came from the employees “Frappuccino” a popular cold coffee. 4. Individualized Consideration- Starbucks developed “Working Solution” in order to help its employees for their personal needs by providing them with assistance when required. Starbucks implemented a new training program recently for all class of employees
