Student-led Conferences Student-led Conferences By: An 8 th Grade Student

Self Evaluation I am Always well organized and come to class with all my materials. I Usually use class and Base time wisely. - Sometimes I talk to others too much.

Self Evaluation Usually I actively participate in class discussion and activities. - Sometimes when I don’t get something I keep quiet instead of asking questions. My work is Usually neat and legible. - I often write too fast. I am working on Improving it.

Self Evaluation I am Always prompt and attend school on a regular basis. I am Never concerned that I am weak in fundamentals and basic skills. - I am confident in almost everything I do.

Self Evaluation continued… I Always study and am well prepared for evaluations. My short and long term assignments are Always handed in on time.

I Usually complete homework and class assignments accurately. - Nobody is perfect. Sometimes I get some answers wrong. Usually I am attentive and focused in class. - Sometimes I get distracted by others in the room.

My Goals for Eighth Grade My Goals for Eighth Grade Reading goal: I want to maintain my A average. How do I achieve it: I will study for every test/quiz, work hard on class work, and participate in class activities.

My Goals for Eighth Grade Language Arts goal: I want to maintain my 97% - 100% average. How do I achieve it: I will continue to work hard, complete my homework and class work, and try my best!

My Goals for Eighth Grade Mathematics goal: I want to get a 98% on my next progress report and report card. How do I achieve it: I will study harder and for 10 minutes extra on nights before tests/quizzes. I will also get extra help if necessary.

My Goals for Eighth Grade Science goal: *I want to pass the Metric Quiz the first time. I also want to get two bonus points this marking period. How do I achieve it: *I already achieved this by listening in class, looking over the practice test the night before and asking questions when I didn’t understand. For the second goal I will get three times as many breathing points than are required.

My Goals for Eighth Grade My Goals for Eighth Grade Social Studies goal: I want to get a 100% on our next quiz. How do I achieve it: I will look over my notes before I take the quiz and make sure I know the material by re-reading that section of the book that I am being quizzed on.

My Goals for Eighth Grade Related Arts goal: Tech Ed.- *I want to finish my bedside table by the end of the marking period. Gym- I want to get from a 95% - 100% every marking period. Home Ec.- I want to get a 100% in the class. How do I achieve it: *I already achieved this with one day to spare, by staying after school and working extra hard in class. Gym- I will participate in class, study the study guides for the tests/quizzes, and work with my team even if I don’t like them. Home Ec.- I will complete all my bell ringers, study for the tests/quizzes, and finish my homework and projects on time.

My Goals for Eighth Grade Band, chorus, clubs, etc., goal: I want to at least try out for a solo in chorus. How do I achieve it: I will try to better my singing with practice and learn to control my nerves better.

My Goals for Eighth Grade My Career Goals for the future are: I want to become a Nurse Midwife. How do I achieve it: I will take all the required classes in high school and college and work hard to achieve my dream.

My Goals for Eighth Grade My goal(s) to personally better myself are: I want to spend less time on the computer and more time outside being active. How do I achieve it/them: I will limit myself to 1 hour a day on the computer (not including homework time). I will also ride my bike more and do others more active things.
