Committee Chairs Attending President Lewis meetings with each Committee Chair Working with President Elect Nominee to benefit longer term goals Reached out to all National Presidents or their designee for input Ad-hoc working group to update all Society committee map Seeking Chairs looking to advance the Committee beyond typical workshop presentations and les Nouvelles article Any volunteers and other input desired New Chair appointments between London and San Diego meetings

National Presidents Key and underutilized resource for LES Completed initial outreach and calls to all National Presidents in April Requests for help remain unchanged – speakers for local events and assistance with non-legal membership Holding first-ever National President’s retreat weekend October 21 and 22 (DATE CHANGE) after San Diego meeting with high expected participation; hotel block limited to 30 rooms at $239 per night; formal registration open before June 30

Ad-hoc Working Group #1 Working Group on Committees and Sub-sectors (John Paul and Kevin Nachtraub) Update of Society Committee and Sector Map Assess means to encourage interaction and networking of like Committees Consider limited number of recommended industry committees to assist Member Societies to recruit non-lawyers

Ad-hoc Working Group #2 Best Practices Toolbox (Paul Germeraad) Map an unpublished page for the LESI website for National Presidents, Committee Chairs and Meetings Chairs Leverage similar existing sites in large Societies (eg. LES Germany)

Ad-hoc Working Group #3 Working Group on les Nouvelles (Peter Hess, Yvonne Chua and Francois Painchaud) Plan to maximize the value to all stakeholders Consider need to be cost neutral or profitable to LESI Topics under consideration include delivery format, dues attribution, etc. Coordinate with les Nouvelles editorial committee Initial report to Board in London with final recommendations in San Diego

Expanded Board Meeting January 22-23, 2012 in Geneva, Switzerland, immediately prior to LESI Global Technology Impact Forum Meeting to be held at WIPO facility to reduce cost Arrangements by LES Switzerland Discussion format Invitations to National Presidents and Committee Chairs (in addition to LESI Board and Past Presidents)
