Miss. Pierce’s Classroom Rules and Procedures

PHONES All Phones will be collected for test, quizzes and the midterm/final If you are neglecting your work due to cellphone usage, it will be taken away If video and/or pictures are being taken with your phone it will be taken away. If your phone is taken away from you three times, you will need to hand in your phone for EVERY class and not just for test, quizzes and the midterm/final.

EARBUDS Are NOT allowed! It is school policy. If you are listening to something on your earbuds, then you are not listening to me, your teacher, and therefore not participating in class. They WILL be collected if they are seen!

Assigned Seats You will have an assigned seat, you are expected to stay at your assigned seat, unless I give you permission to move. Assigned seat can be changed at ANY time!

Textbooks (Concepts Only) You are assigned a book for this class. This book is YOUR responsibility to keep track of. You may leave it in the classroom, but remember it is still YOUR responsibility and not mine! Do not take another student’s textbook because you can’t find yours.

Be Prepared You will need a pencil EVERYDAY! You should have paper and/or a notebook to complete your PDNS, Notes, Classwork and Homework problems on/in. Have your homework when you walk into class, no trips to lockers are permitted during class. If you do not have your homework when you walk into the classroom, it is a zero!

If you are late/absent Late put pass on desk and pick up where we are Once we are on classwork, you may show me your homework(if you don’t it will be marked as a zero) You will need to make sure you get the PDN copied down! ABSENT: Make sure you have the PDN made up! Check the missing work folder and classroom binder!

PDNs PDNs are expected to be done in the first 5 minutes of class. We will then go over them, make sure you correct you answer if they were incorrect. Make sure you get these from other students when you are absent! PDNs will be checked every Friday for an assignment grade. If we are off on Friday, all PDNs will be checked on the next Friday (previous week and current week)

Notes I will NOT grade you on your notes. You can copy down what you think you will need to help study or do your assignments. If you are absent, the notes will be in the class binder for you to look over or to copy.

Classwork Classwork Problems will be graded on if you tried them or not Review Day Assignments (Days without notes) will be worth more points. These will go toward your assignment grade.

Classroom Binder Will contain Notes that have been covered Old assignment answers Missed assignments (in you respective period folder) *This can be your best friend for studying!!!*

Grade Breakdown Assignments(classwork/homework) – 25% Tests – 25% Quizzes – 25% Midterm/Final – 25%

Last 5 Minutes of Class Put Calculators away Return any borrowed materials(ex. Pencil) Make sure desks are in the original rules Clean up any mess that you made during the class Make sure to take ALL of your things when the bell rings!
