2 Apparel Late / Incomplete Work Absentee Policy 2016-2017 Technology
Ms. Green FACS Room 254 Apparel 2016 Late / Incomplete Work Absentee Policy * My expectation is that ALL assignments be completed and turned in on time. If a student fails to turn in an assignment on time, points will be deducted for each day the assignment is late. *Work that is a week late, WILL NOT be accepted. * YES, WE DID SOMETHING IMPORTANT WHILE YOU WERE ABSENT. It is the student’s responsibility to get and complete any assignments missed. * A student has two extra days to turn in any work assigned on a day a student was absent. If previously assigned work was due on the day of the absence, the work is due on the first day the student returns. Technology Cellphones: will be placed in a shoe rack during the entire class period. Students will be given an assigned number to place their device in. Placing your cellphone in its correct place will be HALF of your participation points for the day. If you chose to keep your phone, it must be put away in your book bag. We will be plenty of opportunities to use your cellphone, listen to music, etc. These times will be instructed by the teacher. All other devices must to be put away during the entire class period. Unless teacher has given permission for use. 1st offense: phone taken until end of class period. 2nd offense: phone taken until end of class and RocketFuel Detention. 3rd offense: phone taken to office, parent pick up after school. 4th offense: administrative referral. Plagiarism Cheating Plagiarism is the taking ideas and writings of another and passing them off as one’s own. In this class, plagiarism includes... 1. turning in another’s work as one’s own 2. copying work from a friend before class (or while in another class) 3. including a source but failing to cite it 4. copying an author’s exact words and passing them off as one’s own Students caught plagiarizing will be given a ZERO for the assignment. * The teacher will notify the administration and contact parents if cheating / plagiarism is suspected. * The student will be given a zero for that particular test or assignment. I, ________________________________________, have read and understand the rules and expectations for this Apparel class. I acknowledge that it is my responsibility to contact my teacher if I have any questions or concerns.
