YES, WE DID SOMETHING IMPORTANT WHILE YOU WERE ABSENT. Español I & II Sra. Cook 2018-2019 GRADING POLICY 2016-2017 45% 40% Fromative Summative 15% Daily FORMATIVE quizzes, practice IPAs, daily speaking in Spanish SUMMATIVE U1 – Interpretive & Presentational IPA U2 – Interpretive & Presentational IPA, U1 & U2 Interpersonal IPA U3 – Interpretive & Presentational IPA U4 – Interpretive & Presentational IPA, U3 & U4 Interpersonal IPA **Some quarters may also include a project or test. Absentee Policy Late Work YES, WE DID SOMETHING IMPORTANT WHILE YOU WERE ABSENT. Make-up work is the student’s responsibility. You can find what you missed from the binders in the front of the room. Any worksheets that were given will be in the appropriate folders in the front of the room. When you miss an assessment, regardless of the reason, a zero is entered into the gradebook. Once you have completed that assessment, the grade will be changed. You have as many days as you were absent to complete assignments. Homework is due the day you return. Students that are absent on the day of a quiz must make it up during their designated ILT day. Exceptions to the due dates of make-up work may be granted in the event of a long-term absence. My expectation is that ALL assignments be completed and turned in on time. Classwork/Homework assignments that are late will be deducted 50%. Projects or other assignments that are late will be deducted 10% per each day late, unless otherwise noted. Printer and Internet issues are not an excuse for late work. Cheating Google translate The teacher will notify the administration and contact parents if cheating / plagiarism is suspected. The student will be given a zero for that particular test or assignment. This includes the person who allowed someone to copy their work! The use of any translation device on the internet or computer software is considered cheating. If your work is a product of a translation device, you will receive a ZERO. I, ________________________________________, have read and understand the rules and expectations for class. I (PRINT STUDENT NAME) acknowledge that it is my responsibility to contact my teacher if I have any questions or concerns. I know that this syllabus, assignments, calendars, and resources are available to me on the Edline site at any time. I know that assignments can be submitted digitally at any time and that printer/computer/flash drive issues are not an excuse for late work.
