New England Colonies Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire Major settlements Plymouth Colony (1620)-founded by Pilgrims Massachusetts Bay(1629)-founded by Puritans Plymouth merged with Massachusetts Bay in 1691
