Description of Summative Performance Task: You will use Padlet to answer 3 questions about the geography of Ancient Civilizations. You will then complete the Task by answering an extended response question utilizing the Content Rubric. Steps: 1. Go to https://padlet.com/annette_bertrand/m160eevyfgdu. 2. Read each of the 3 questions that will lead them to answer the Task Question. 3. Use the picture below each question to answer the question. Remember the 3 questions will help guide you in answering the Task Question. You will click on the + sign below each picture to write your answer. Please put at least 3 facts for each question. Don’t forget your nickname. 4. Then take your information from the 3 questions to help construct an extended response to the Task Question. 5. Use the Content Rubric in the 5th column as a guide when you are constructing your response. REDEFINITION 6th Grade Unit 2 Geographical Concepts and First Civilizations Summative Performance Task 4 REDEFINITION Topic: How did geography impact the way early civilizations developed? Description of Summative Performance Task: You will use Clips to create a short video that will answer the Topic question: How did geography impact the way early civilizations developed? Steps: 1. You will collaborate with your group as assigned. 2. Once you are ready to create, open the Clips app and tap the down arrow button at the top left of the screen. Select New Video. 3. For the first slide, select the T icon at the top left, and create a title that includes the Topic question. 4. Now, use your voice to record your Topic question. 5. To insert a photo, select photo and take a picture of the item that you want to insert or upload from the IPAD’s camera. 6. To insert a video, select video and record yourself or have a partner record you while you are speaking. 7. When complete, select the Share icon at the bottom right and select Save Video. 8. Go to cpsb.org and log in to Blackboard. 9. Under your courses, click on Bertrand. 10. Click on Discussion Board 11. Click on First Civilization Task 4 12. Click on “Create Thread” 13. In the subject box, put the title of your video. 14. Click on the “attach file” icon. 15. Browse to find your video in the camera roll of the iPad, and submit. 16. Now each of you will need to click on the other videos and watch them. Use the Content Rubric to review the videos. Provide feedback of at least two sentences about the content of the video.
