Formative Performance Task 2 AUGMENTATION Topic: What were Louisiana’s major contributions to World War II? Description of Formative Performance Task: You will use Plickers to answer the question, What were Louisiana’s major contributions to World War II? Steps: 1. Look at the question on the board, “Which of the following did Louisiana not contribute to World War II?” 2. Pick up your Plickers card and hold it up to the teacher with your letter choice facing up. 3. Once the teacher gives you the ok, put your Plicker down. 4. As a class, discuss the responses that were given. Summative Performance Task 3 MODIFICATION Topic: What were Louisiana’s major contributions to World War II? Description of Summative Performance Task: You will work with your partner to analyze the source and answer the question using Google Slides. You will respond to the question and be assessed on your responses. Steps 1. Go to the following link: 2. Begin by reading the topic question: What were Louisiana’s major contributions to World War II? This question will guide you as you read. Keep in mind that each person is responsible for his/her written response to the prompt. With a partner, read the document given. On a separate sheet of loose-leaf paper take notes from the document that answers the topic question. After reviewing the document given and taking notes, go to my Blackboard page (8th grade/WW2/ Google Slides) Type your response to the topic question on the slide number you were given. **Remember to cite** Partner 1 respond in red and Partner 2 respond in black. Summative Performance Task 1 REDEFINITION Topic: What were Louisiana’s major contributions to World War II? Description of Summative Performance Task: You will use Clips to create a short video that will answer the question, What were Louisiana’s major contributions to World War II? Steps You will collaborate on this task as a group of 3 Having already examined the sources, each person in the group will choose a part to complete: Home front, Higgins Boat, Louisiana Maneuvers Once you are ready to create, open the Clips app, and tap the down arrow button at the top left screen, click on New Video For the first Slide, select the T icon at the top left, and create a title that includes the topic of the questions Now, use your voice to record your question To insert a photo, select photo and take a picture of the item that you want to insert OR upload from the iPad’s camera. To insert a video, select video and record yourself or have a partner record you while you are speaking. Once you have completed your part, pass the iPad to the next person. Each person will complete steps 6-8. When complete, select the Share icon at the bottom right and select Save Video. Now log onto my Blackboard site. Click Discussion Board. The topic is Louisiana Contributions to WW2 Select “Add New Thread” In the subject box, type the title of your video. Click on the “attach file” icon. Browse to find your video in the camera roll of the iPad, and submit Now each students needs to click on 2 other videos and watch the videos. Use the content rubric to review the group’s videos.
