2 Difference of Squares: Quizizz 1. Students will use Quizizz to practice factoring with the difference of squares. This task uses: A device with internet access Learning Objective(s): Solve quadratic equations using the difference of squares. 3 Create your own Quadratic equations. 1.Working with a partner, come up with 3 CHALLENGING quadratic equations that can be factored by the difference of squares. 2.When you and your partner are done, log into the classes Blackboard site. 3.Open the Difference of Squares tab. 4.Add a new entry to the discussion board. Put both your names in the subject window. Type the equations you created, then click Post. 5.Go to at least two other posts and reply with the factors of their Quadratic Equations. Students will create their own quadratic equations that can be factored using the difference of squares and post in Blackboard. This task uses: Blackboard Learning Objective(s): Create Quadratic equations. Solve Quadratic Equations by difference of squares. M MODIFICATION Technology allows for significant task redesign.

4 Difference of Squares: Tellagami 1.You and your partner will create a video explanation of factoring using the difference of squares using an app called Tellagami. 2.Each video will be no longer that 30 seconds, so plan what you will say before you begin. 3.Open the Tellagami App and read over “How to”. Choose a character, and emotion, and a background. 4.Click the “back arrow” to get to the screen to record. Use the “Record” button when you are ready to begin. Click the “Preview” button to see what your video will look and sound like. When you are satisfied, click “share”. Make sure to click the “save” option so that your video will be saved onto the camera roll. 5.Open your classes Blackboard, and click the Difference of Squares Tab then the blog tab. Add a new entry with you and your partners names as the title. Click the “attachment” icon, the “brows my computer”. Find your video from the camera roll and click “use”. Click “ Post”. 6.Once your video is posted, provide a comment on each of the videos with a review of how they did. To view all blog posts, click on “ All Class Members”. Use Tellagami app to create an animated video explanation of factoring using the difference of squares and upload the video to Blackboard.
