Quick Checks! 1.Go to http://connected.mcgraw-hill.com.http://connected.mcgraw-hill.com 2.Log in using your Glencoe student ID. 3.Choose Chapter 7. 4.Click on Lesson 2. 5.Click on this lesson’s “Tutor” icons. Listen to the tutor for each example. 6.Next, complete the Quick Check for Chapter 7, Lesson 2. This task uses: Class set of iPads, laptops, or desktops Headphones Glencoe Math Online Textbook Learning Objective(s): TLW identify pairs of complementary and supplementary angles. S SUBSTITUTION Technology acts a direct substitute, with no functional improvement

Math Rap Dougie 1.Go to my Blackboard site. 2.Click on the “Math Links” button on the left hand side of the page. 3.Click on the “Geometry Lines and Angles” video. Watch this video (http://mathflix.luc.edu/NCTM_cat/Geometry/Lines_Angle/031030/Com plSupplAnglesMeasur/index.html) When the video is complete, click on the “Discussion Board” button on the left hand side of the page.http://mathflix.luc.edu/NCTM_cat/Geometry/Lines_Angle/031030/Com plSupplAnglesMeasur/index.html 4.Once you enter the “Discussion Board,” answer the 3 questions. 5.After you answer the 3 questions, if time permits, read through your peers’ responses. Respond to 2 of your peers’ responses. This task uses: Class set of iPads, laptops, or desktops Headphones Blackboard Learning Objective(s): TLW watch a math video and respond to questions regarding how to identify angles. A AUGMENTATION Technology acts as a direct tool for substitution with some functional improvement.

A Stoodle Performance Task! 1.Scan your QR code to enter your group’s Stoodle whiteboard. 2.Enter your nickname. 3.Using the Chat feature, determine who will write in which color. Each person needs to choose a different color. 4.Using the Chat feature, determine who will go 1 st, 2 nd, 3 rd, and 4 th. 5.Use the performance task worksheet you received at the beginning of class. 6.Using the Stoodle app, your group needs to complete Part A of the Performance Task. 7.Once Part A is complete, the student that went 1 st will screen shot the final whiteboard screen. 8.Repeat steps 6 and 7 for each part of the Performance Task. 9.When all parts are complete, student 1 will upload and submit all 3 screen shots to the Blackboard Assignment Manager. This task uses: Class set of iPads, laptops, or desktops Glencoe Math Textbook Stoodle App Blackboard Assignment Manager iNigma QR Reader App Learning Objective(s): TLW collaborate to solve a real world performance task related to complementary and supplementary angles. M MODIFICATION Technology allows for the creation of new tasks that were previously not conceivable

My Angles Tutorial! 1.Click on the Educreations app. 2.Use Educreations to create an animated and narrated whiteboard tutorial on how to identify your given angle poblem. Be sure to explain/show detailed steps. Your tutorial should be between 2 and 3 minutes. 3.Once you have completed your tutorial, save it to the iPad camera roll (if you have the paid version of the app). If you have the free version of the app, you will share the link with the following directions: Copy the lesson embed code by tapping on the share button on the My Lessons screen. Then tap the gray link icon for the video you wish to embed and select the "Copy Embed Code" option. To get the embed code, visit the lesson playback page for the lesson you want to embed. On the right side of the page, you’ll find a link that says, “embed on the web.” Once you click this link, you’ll be prompted to copy an embed code. 4.Then, open the internet and go to our class Blackboard website. 5.Once you are one the Blackboard site, click on the Discussion Board link located on the left hand side of the page. 6.Whether it’s saved to the camera roll or as shared link (an embed code), upload your tutorial to the Discussion Board. 7.Finally, watch at least two other tutorials. Provide constructive feedback for each of the tutorials that you view and provide them with a star rating (1 star = Not so great; 5 stars = Amazing Work!). This task uses: Class set of iPads, laptops, or desktops Educreations App (Directions for free and paid versions included) Blackboard Headphones Learning Objective(s): TLW create a tutorial to demonstrate how to identify complementary and supplementary angles. R REDEFINITION Technology allows for the creation of new tasks that were previously not conceivable

IMPACT SAMR Cover Sheet Task OverviewLearning Objective(s)Suggested Technology In this activity, students will create a tutorial on how to solve a given inequality using an app called Educreations. TLW create a tutorial to demonstrate understanding on how to identify complementary and supplementary angles. Class set of iPads, laptops, or desktops Educreations App Blackboard Headphones In this activity, students will use a collaboration website called Stoodle to complete a Performance Task on classifying angles. TLW collaborate to solve a real world performance task related to angles. Class set of iPads, laptops, or desktops Glencoe Math Textbook Stoodle App; Blackboard Assignment Manager; iNigma QR Reader App In this activity, students will watch a math video and then answer questions pertaining to the video on the Blackboard Discussion Board. TLW watch a math rap video and respond to questions regarding how to identify supplementary and complementary angles. Class set of iPads, laptops, or desktops Headphones for each student Blackboard In this activity, students will use the online textbook to listen to the tutor model sample problems. Then, students will complete each lesson’s “Quick Check” to check for concept mastery. TLW identify supplementary and complementary angles Class set of iPads, laptops, or desktops Headphones for each student Louisiana Math Standard (include description): 6.EE.B.5 Understand solving an equation or inequality as a process of answering a question: which values from a specified set, if any, make the equation or inequality true? Use substitution to determine whether a given number in a specified set makes an equation or inequality true.
