Syllabus Highlights: Grading Policy Analyzing: 21.25% Producing text: 21.25% Organization: 21.25% Using Language: 21.25% Homework: 10% Quarterly Assessment: 5%

Syllabus Highlights: Redo/ Incomplete work Policies 4 redos per quarter must be completed within ten days of receiving the original grade may only be redone one time. may not redo homework, the quarterly assessment, or a large project. Must be turned in a weeks before each quarter ends Late/Incomplete: Submit assignments on the date that they are due. Complete assignments, in full, to the best of student’s ability take advantage of tutoring and reteaching opportunities penalized 5 % for each day it is late up until five school days After five school days, the assignment becomes a zero and may not be submitted for a grade. When a student is absent, it is the student’s responsibility to get the make-up work. The student will be allotted the same number of days equal to the number of days absent to make-up work.

Syllabus Highlights: Academic Dishonesty A student who exhibits academic dishonesty as determined by the teacher and administrator shall receive a zero on the particular assignment in question. Word for word copying of assignments Plagiarizing essays/papers

Available Help Wednesday Mornings at 8:15am students can come to school to receive the assistance they need in any subject. Independence & Intervention occurs during school hours on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday each week on a rolling schedule. Or make an appointment (by contacting me via note or email at least 24 hours before hand) to meet me before (8:15-8:45am) or after school (3:50-4:20pm).

What Parents Can Do to Support the Student: Ensure that the student has supplies and that they complete homework and study for tests. Encourage the student to seek additional help when it is needed. Check Parent Connect regularly to monitor student grades. Contact teacher with any questions about assignments, grade, or other issues in a timely manner.
