2 Late & Make-Up Work Policy
Class Expectations Absence & Tardiness: Being present in class is essential to succeeding in this class, for there is no substitute for classroom time. Class starts promptly at the beginning of each class period. To be considered on time to class, students are expected to be in the classroom, in their seats, and working on their Do Now Activity. Plagiarism: Your teacher will not tolerate cheating or dishonesty of any kind. Students are expected to support the HONOR CODE – do not give or receive any help on any work. Examples of behavior constituting cheating include, but are not limited to: plagiarism; copying any assignments; leaving papers uncovered during assessment; giving or receiving any unauthorized assistance on an assignment, quiz, or exam. Anyone caught cheating will receive a grade of zero on the work and the student’s parent(s) will be notified. Please Remember: Be respectful of yourself, others and the school environment. Come to class prepared, organized and on time. Sit in your assigned seat, stay on task, only immediate work on desk. Raise your hand to be acknowledged and exercise self-discipline. No distracting items of any kind. Keep your head up and eyes open; employability points will be deducted for lounging or sleeping.  **Student misconduct will be handled in accordance with school policy. Late & Make-Up Work Policy Late Work/Test Corrections: Late assignments and test corrections need to be completed by the end of the following week. If there are extenuating circumstances, such situations will be handled on a case-by-case basis at the teacher’s discretion. Make-Up Work: When absent, check the class website/calendar for any homework missed. Check with a classmate for any notes missed. When a student is absent, it is his/her responsibility to collect, complete, and turn in missed work. Students receive three days to make up work for each day of an absence Test Make-Up: Students must make arrangements with the teacher to make up a missed test. This is best done before or after school. Students will have three days after their return to school to schedule a make-up exam with the teacher (Ms. Kearney).
