1 Math 6th –Ms. Ojeda Room 304

2 Supplies needed for this class:
Pencil and eraser Pens (black, blue, and red) Pocket folder 3-ring binder (to hold textbook) Optional: markers, highlighter, colored pencils or crayons, loose composition paper, scissors, glue.

3 Interactive Notebook Bring it to class every day.
Only write in pencil (unless otherwise directed.) Do not skip pages. Do not draw or use it for other subjects. Write the date every time you use it. Keep it neat. ORGANIZATION is the KEY to a successful school year!

4 Behavioral Expectations:
Be on time. (3 late days = 1 absence) If late to class (unless it is because of Late Bus) students must fill in Tardy Log. Come to class prepared: bring your required supplies, and previously assigned work. Cellular phones can only be used before and after school, and during lunch. Otherwise, phones will be confiscated, and parents will need to retrieve them from the Deans Office. No gum or food in classroom.

6 IMPORTANT! Write your information on every paper, project, work that you must turn in. (No name = no grade) On the upper right corner: Last name, name Date/Period Name of assignment

7 Student Standard Attire (SSA)
Please refer to KO website: knudsonms.org Students that do not adhere to SSA will be sent to Deans Office, and given “Dress Code” outfit (needs to be returned to school.)

8 6th grade textbook Glencoe Math Course 1 (Volumes 1 and 2)
At a later date students will be enrolled to the digital part of the textbook) Students work on the textbook (in the textbook?!) Do not take pages out (unless directed by teacher) Use pencil only (unless directed by teacher) Do not leave textbook at home!

9 ALEKS (Assessment and Learning in Knowledge Space)
*Students shall work on ALEKS a minimum of 2 hours a week. (Teacher can see time and work done.) *On Fridays during class time. *Students must show their work in notebook (each student was given a first free notebook.)

10 Absences Upon return, students must bring a parent’s note with the following information: Full name, Student ID, dates of absence, reason. (Note must be taken to Main Office.) ***Students are responsible for missing work.
