Ms. B’s Procedures

Classroom Work Students will perform their warm-up immediately after the bell has rung. Students will request permission from the teacher in case of an emergency to use the restroom and will fill out bathroom pass in back of agenda Students will remain at desks unless told to do otherwise Students will raise their hands and wait for permission to speak during the class period

How to Ask for Things Look the person in the eye Say the person’s name Ask for what you want and say, Thank the person!

When to Sharpen Your Pencil Before the bell rings for class to start You may NOT sharpen your pencil after this time If your pencil breaks – wait for Ms. B to finish explaining the lesson to ask for permission to sharpen your pencil

Getting Your Attention Watch for my hand to raise and I say, “Give me Five.” When you see my hand and hear me say, “Give me Five.” Freeze Turn and face me Pay attention and keep your eyes on me Stop talking if working in a group Be ready for instruction – I will have something to say

Completing Warm-Ups Sit down immediately at the bell and being working on your warm-up in your Interactive Notebook Work silently on your own unless told otherwise When finished Start reading or complete reading log Review notes

Dismissal Clean up all materials! Only start packing up when I have instructed to do so Do not leave your seat unless you have asked and were granted permission Copy down ALL homework assignments in agenda Push in your chair when I instruct you to do so and line up at the door I will dismiss each group to line up!!
