A few tips! To right-click, tap the touchpad with two fingers. To scroll down and up, slide on the trackpad with two fingers. To enable caps lock, press Alt+Search. To know what keyboard shortcuts are available, do Ctrl+Alt+? Drag a window to the left or right of the screen to snap it to that side (helpful when you want to see two things side by side). Press Ctrl+WindowSwitchButton to take a screenshot. You can then open it to edit it.

YOUR HOMEWORK Tonight, go into Google Classroom, review the Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) with your guardians and sign off on the forms electronically. BE SURE TO MARK ASSIGNMENT AS “DONE”!

When you bring your Chromebook home: You can easily connect to your own home Wifi. Click the Wifi button at the bottom right. Hook up your printer using Cloud Printing. Check out directions under the green “Get Help” app under your launcher. No Wifi? Work on documents offline by saving them temporarily to your “My Files” or make your Drive available offline. Find directions under “Get Help” app.

Launcher Shelf Omnibox “Pinning” Apps Extensions Add Ons Web Store CHROMEBOOK GLOSSARY Launcher Shelf Omnibox “Pinning” Apps Extensions Add Ons Web Store Chrome Touchpad Launcher- (magnify glass at bottom left) Allows you to open up your apps, search Google, find new tools in Webstore Shelf- (bottom bar of the desktop) Keeps your pinned apps visible for easy accessibility. You can customize your pinned apps, unpin unwanted apps, and close apps for the shelf Omnibox- (URL and search bar at the top of Chrome internet browser) You can enter a web address AND search in google from here Pinning- adding a tool/app to the shelf. Apps- Tools from Google Extensions- (appear at the top of Chrome near Omnibox) allow you to add tools to the browser Add Ons- (tools within Docs and Sheets under “Add Ons” tab) increases functionality of the program Web Store- (within your Apps) allows you to add Apps and Extensions to your Chromebook Chrome- Internet browser used with Google Touchpad- Rectangle for clicking, dragging, zooming answers below in the notes
