Professional Development We offer three levels of diploma to suit the experience level of each member to ensure the key elements of good management are explored and understood. These allow you to hone your managerial skills and work towards achieving senior management competences.  Level 5 Standard Diploma  Level 5 Extended Diploma  Level 7 Strategic Diploma Professional Recognition – Chartered Manager By achieving Chartered Manager (CMgr) status, you are demonstrating your excellence in management to your company and peers. It is a widely recognised qualification in management across all sectors.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD)  The importance of CPD doesn’t end after you achieve CEng or IEng status  CPD is with you throughout your career, even in to retirement  Each management route available counts towards your CPD hours  Record your CPD using Career Manager, the IET’s online professional development tool

CMI Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership  Available to CEng & IEng IET members  Suitable for middle managers with 3-5 years experience  Hone your managerial skills and achieve senior management competences  At the end of the diploma you have a chance to achieve Chartered Manager (CMgr) status via a fast track route PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT CEng – Two workshops:  Workshop 1. Programme Induction;  Workshop 2. Conducting a Project, Project Development and Control. IEng – Three workshops:  Workshop 1.Programme Induction;  Workshop 2. How do I become a Chartered Manager? 1. Apply online  A simple form to decide on Member or Fellow application  Pay the application fee by credit or debit card 2. Complete the Assessment  Complete form, with advice from a CMI assessor.  Choose either the Written Assessment or arrange for the assessor to interview you and write up your evidence (the Professional Discussion) 3. Complete a formal interview by telephone 4. CMI takes up references and confirms result You have 12 months to complete the assessment process.
