Log in from your home page

Naviance Family Connection Log into Naviance Use your SBISD network log in and password

Naviance Family Connection This will take you to the home screen Click on the colleges tab

Colleges Tab Click on “college I’m applying to” under “my colleges”

Match Your Common App Matching allows Naviance to sync information with your Common App (it is required if you are applying to any Common App School) Enter your that was used for your Common Application Account Click “Match” You only need to complete the Common App Account Matching if you are applying to a Common App School

Matching Complete Once you have successfully Matched your account the following screen will appear

Colleges Tab Click on the Colleges tab and click on the “Colleges I’m Applying to” under “my colleges

Colleges I’m Applying To Add Colleges you are applying to your list These colleges are the ones that you are serious about. If you have no intentions of actually applying to the college, do not add it.

Colleges I’m Applying To The lookup link will allow you to pick or search for the college that you are adding to your list.

Transcript Request Check the “request transcript” box to initiate the transcript process for each college that you are applying to Scroll down and click “Add Colleges” Be sure to do the paper transcript request form and turn it in, also.

Colleges I’m Applying To Once you have requested transcripts and added colleges to your application list it will look similar to this Remember: This list should contain only the colleges to which you are applying.

Submission Symbols Orange Stamp: This college is not an eDocs destination. You must determine the college’s preferred method from their website. Pay attention to the school’s application process. Blue Computer Monitor: You may submit transcripts and recommendations electronically via eDocs. Blue Computer Monitor with CA on the Screen: This college accepts the Common Application. You may submit transcripts and recommendations via eDocs.

Transcript Request Option 2 Click on the “transcripts” link under resources

Transcript Request Option 2 Clink on the appropriate link that corresponds with what you need to complete

Transcript Request Option 2 Check the box “add request” under the appropriate college

Transcript Request Option 2 If you are requesting a transcript for a college that is not on your “colleges I’m applying to” list, you may do so here by completing the appropriate information Once you have filled in the appropriate boxes click “request transcripts” to initiate the process

Transcript Requests for Scholarships & Athletics Click on the appropriate link that corresponds with what you need to complete

Transcript Requests for Scholarships & Athletics Fill in the boxes with the correct information Scroll down and click “add transcript requests” to initiate the process

Check Your Status Click on the appropriate link that corresponds with what you need to complete

Transcript Request Status Always check back here to see the progress of your request

Requesting Teacher Recommendations Choose a teacher that knows the best quality of your work Personally visit each teacher that you want to write a letter of recommendation for you If the teacher agrees, tell them that you will send them a teacher recommendation request in Naviance

Colleges Tab Click on the colleges tab and click on the “Colleges I’m Applying to” under “My Colleges”

Requesting Teacher Recommendations Click on “add/cancel requests” under “Teacher Recommendations”

Choose Your Teacher Choose your teacher from the drop down menu Write a short note in the box Click on Update Requests

Teacher Complete Once you have completed your Teacher Recommendation Requests your screen will look like the above. You will be able to see the status of your of your teacher recommendation requests
