Welcome to Third Grade Ms. Sanders

Classroom Rules  Listen carefully.  Follow directions.  Respect yourself and others.  Keep your hands and feet to yourself.  Raise your hand to get permission before speaking.

Rewards  Teacher’s assistant for a day  One day homework pass  Extra time on the computer  Pick from the red basket

Consequences  Verbal warning  Call home  Parent/Teacher Conference  Conference with principal  Paddling  Suspension

Arrival  Set Desk  Sharpen at least 3 pencils  Complete morning work  Read AR book  Remain quiet

Voice Levels  0- No Talking  1- Inside voice (low)  2-Outside voice (high)  In the classroom and hallway we will be using the numbers zero and one noise levels at all times.

Hallway Procedures  We will always walk on the right side in the hallway.  We will not run in the hallway at anytime unless we are told to do so.  We will wave at others that we know and not talk.  We will keep our hands and feet off the walls at all time.

Cafeteria Procedures  We will stay in a single file line.  We will gathers all supplies before seating.  We will demonstrate table manners.  We will clean up after ourselves.

Classroom Procedures  We will wait for our turn.  We will cleanup anything that we mess up.  We will always line up starting with station A in a single file line.  Before exiting our classroom, we will make sure that all of our items are put away.  We will do our best to make sure our classroom is neat.  We will always be willing to put forth our best effort in all that we do.  The team leader or assistant leader will ensure that center baskets are put up and that their stations are ready for the next subject.  We will rotate on the zero noise level.  We will ask three of our peers before interrupting Ms. Sanders.

Heading of Paper We will always head our paper to the right. We will include our full name and desk number on the first line. On the second line, we will write the date. On the third line, we will right the subject name and page number.

Completion of Assignments We will complete all assignments before submitting our work. We will make sure that our homework is checked and signed by our parents.

From Your Teacher I am happy to have you in my classroom this year. I am excited to know that together we are going to aim high for excellence. Thanks in advance to my parents for a successful year. Together we can accomplish the unthinkable.

I Care Forms The child that returns all “I care forms” will receive a certificate and treat from the teacher. These forms informs the teacher of the many activities that you and your child/children participate in together.

Literacy Logs This log will be sent home weekly. Students are to read a passage or book. The parent must sign the log daily. Students will receive 25pts. Per day that the log is signed and returned. The logs will be handed in on Friday. Students can not receive any points for unsigned log.
