Our Class RULES! Our class is the BEST third grade class! To make sure we stay the best, we have to follow a few simple rules:

åzz BE RESPECTFUL! Show respect to your classmates, adults, and yourself.

åzz BE PREPARED! Come to school each day ready to learn. This includes having your homework and a positive attitude.

åzz BE POSITIVE! Have a good attitude toward people, ideas and activities.

åzz BE A PARTICIPANT! Be willing to try new things, and during class, be active in all activities.

åzz REWARDS It pays to obey the rules!

åzz STICKERS Fill up your chart by the end of the nine weeks, and Mrs. Hamilton will make you breakfast!

åzz PASSES Outstanding effort on classwork, homework, or tests can earn you a homework pass to skip homework one day!

åzz NOTE HOME When Mrs. Hamilton or any other teacher notices great effort, attitude, or actions, I will send a note home telling how WONDERFUL you are!

åzz CLASS PARTY When the whole class earns enough chain to stretch from end to end of the room, we will have a class party!

åzz CONSEQUENCES If you break the rules, you have to pay the price.

åzz LOSE RECESS First time: 1/2 of recess Second time: all of recess

åzz CALL HOME YOU will make a phone call to your parent or guardian to tell them how you are behaving. They may have to come to school to sit with you.

åzz PADDLING Paddling by Mrs. Hamilton or Ms. Smith or Mr. Sanderson.

åzz OFFICE Go to the office for punishment from one of the principals.

åzz CLASSROOM PROCEDURES This is how we do it.

åzz CLASS JOBS Everyone plays a role in making our class the best in third grade!

åzz RESTROOM If Mrs. Hamilton is not teaching and the pass is hanging up, you may go to the restroom. BUT, if you abuse this privilege, you may lose it.

åzz PENCILS The Pencil Sharpener will give every student a sharp pencil every morning. If you need a new pencil, return your dull pencil to the “Dull” can and take a sharp one.

åzz TURNING IN Turn your work into the tray by the door unless Mrs. Hamilton tells you otherwise.

åzz TAKE-HOME FOLDERS Folders will go home on Tuesday. They are expected to be returned on Wednesday, or you will have to move your clip.

åzz FOOD+DRINK The only thing you may have at your desk is water, and it has to have a top on it. WE DON’T WANT MICE!

åzz POSTURE While Mrs. Hamilton is teaching, you will sit up straight with your eyes toward her.

åzz ATTENTION Mrs. Hamilton: “1, 2, 3, eyes on me!” Class: “1, 2, eyes on you!” (then silence)

åzz HALLWAY In the hallway, we will be silent. We will walk single-file in the third tile block with our hands at our sides. If we can’t do this, we will practice during recess
