Why is PDHPE important? Todays lifestyle is often very busy and relies heavily on technology which has lead to a decrease in healthy eating and physical activity. … The result has been an increase in health related issues such as obesity and diabetes. It is important that students are educated and encouraged to adopt a healthy lifestyle. The aim of PDHPE is to encourage young students to  participate in physical activity  learn about personal health  make informed decisions for a healthy lifestyle
