Service Manual

Cubi Overview The service manual instructs the installing and removing the mSATA, memory card, Wifi card and 2.5 inch HDD.

Cubi Tools Information Important : Before remove or install any component, make sure the system is not turned on or connected to the AC power.

Cubi Preparation Place the system on a flat and stable surface. It is better to have a pad which is electrically insulated.

Cubi Rear cover operating Locate the screws that secure the rear cover to the chassis. Unscrew them and keep them for later use. Then, pull the rear cover carefully upwards to release its side tabs from the chassis. Set the rear cover aside for later use.

Cubi Device identity Device identity: 1.mSATA 2.Wifi card (Under mSATA) 3.Memory card (RAM) 4.The port connects to a 2.5” HDD

Cubi mSATA operating Locate the screw that secure the mSATA, Unscrew it and keep for later use. Then the mSATA can be removed. To reinstall the mSATA, just follow the above procedures in reverse order.

Cubi RAM operating 1 Locate the SO-DMM slot. Flip the slot chips outwards and the DIMM will spring upward instantly. To avoid damaging the golden finger, remove the DIMM at the same angle it was inserted.

Cubi RAM operating 2 To reinstall the DIMM, align the notch on the DIMM with the key on the slot and insert the DIMM into the slot at a 45-degree angle. Push the DIMM gently downwards until the slot click and lock the DIMM place.

Cubi Wifi card operating Locate the wireless LAN card and disconnect its antennas. Remove the screws to release the card. The WLAN card will automatically spring upwards. To avoid damaging the golden finger, remove the card at the same angle it was inserted. Follow the above procedures in reverse order to replace the WLAN card if necessary.

Cubi 2.5 inch HDD operating 1 Connect your 2.5 HDD with the signal cable.

Cubi 2.5 inch HDD operating 2 Locate the screws that secure the rear cover to the 2.5 HDD. Screw on them for fixing the HDD with rear cover.

Cubi 2.5 inch HDD operating 3 Connect the HDD with the main board carefully. Notice the installation direction.

Cubi 2.5 inch HDD operating 4 Identify the long screws which is for 2.5 HDD’s rear cover. (The short screws for users without using 2.5 HDD. ) Screw on them for fixing the front cover with rear cover. Follow the above procedures in reverse order to replace the HDD if necessary.
