Organization: It is a good idea to organize all the assembly screws by location. This will save time and confusion when reassembling the unit. fp-usa.com

Removing the Feed Deck: Lift upward on the front of the feeder to remove the feed deck , and slide the feed deck away from the feeder. See the diagram below. fp-usa.com

Removing the water bottle and water tray: To remove the water bottle, simply press down on the water bottle door, and remove the water bottle. Then remove the water tray, by sliding it away from the feeder. See the diagram below. fp-usa.com

Removing the Loop Terminator: To remove the loop terminator plug, simply unscrew and unplug the loop terminator. See the pictures below. fp-usa.com

Removing the Upper Housing: To remove the Upper Housing on the feeder, press the separation release button. See the diagram below. fp-usa.com

Removing the Upper Housing: Locate the two cover clips on the back side of the Roller Box assembly. Then insert a flat blade screw driver into the two openings towards the top, and press in the direction of the arrow to release the clips. Now simply remove the cover. Removing the Upper Housing: Next remove the Roller box assembly holding screw. Then press in the release button, while lifting upward to remove the assembly. See the diagram below. fp-usa.com

Removing the Upper Housing: Next rotate the feeder to the front and insert a flat blade into the clip locking to the frame and press in to release housing. See the diagram below. fp-usa.com

Removing the Upper Housing: To remove the Upper Housing; remove the 4 screws, then remove the cover. See the diagram below. fp-usa.com

Removing the Feed Deck: To remove the feeder deck, first locate and remove the sensor screw holding the LS2 and LS3 sensor. Next press on the sensor in the direction of the arrow, so that the sensor is back and out of the metal bracket. See the diagram below. Feeder Deck LS2/LS3 sensor fp-usa.com

Removing the Feed Deck: Next make sure the sensor is pressed flush with the metal bracket. Then locate and remove the entry sensor bracket screws holding LS1 sensor. See the diagram below. fp-usa.com

Removing the Feed Deck: To remove, simply lift up on the bracket until it clears the alignment pin and rest the bracket on the left side of the feeder. Then disconnect the sensor cable. See the diagram below. Alignment pin fp-usa.com

Removing the Feed Deck: Next remove the flap detection sensor screw and slide the sensor out of the holder by pressing the sensor wiring away from the sealing blade. See the diagram below. fp-usa.com

Removing the Feed Deck: Now remove the 4 feeder deck screws then turn the base over and remove the 2 screws that secure the feeder deck to the bottom of the housing. See the diagram below. Note: Have to lift brush for screw 3 access. Do not need to remove sealer screw. Screw 3 fp-usa.com

Removing the Feed Deck: Slide the feeder deck slightly up and in the direction of the arrow or away from the feeder. See the diagram below. fp-usa.com

Removing the Chassis from the lower housing: To remove the Chassis from the lower housing, locate and remove the 3 chassis screws. See the diagram below. 2 1 3 fp-usa.com

Removing the Chassis from the lower housing: To remove the Chassis from the lower housing, lift the chassis straight up and help feed the connection cable through the lower housing. See the diagram below. fp-usa.com

Main Board Differentiation: Older style main boards for the feeder have a MMC card and slot where newer style main boards do not have the MMC card and slot. Board with MMC Board without MMC Note: If you have the main board with the MMC then proceed to next slide. If you have the board without the card, then proceed to Slide 25 . fp-usa.com

Removing the feeder MMC: To remove the feeder MMC simply press in on the MMC card and it will release, then remove the card. NOTE: This MMC card contains the feeder firmware, and is updated automatically via the base unit each time a new feeder is attached. fp-usa.com

Removing the feeder MMC: NOTE: This MMC card contains the feeder firmware, and is updated automatically via the base unit each time a new feeder is attached. The MMC has a maximum write cycle of 100,000 writes. The feeder is connected to the FM by the machine number, by equipment ID, and by MMC firmware. If using a different feeder for testing purposes, please remove the original feeder MMC and place it in the exchanged test feeder. Once testing is completed remember to return the MMC to the original feeder. fp-usa.com

25 Processor board Component removal base unit
Removing the Feeder Main Board: To remove the feeder main board, disconnect all connection plugs. Then remove the 5 main board holding screws and release the 2 plastic holders.See the diagram below. NOTE: The processor board is part of the main board and can not be exchanged separately. NOTE: All connectors have a different number of pins and can not be mixed up. Processor board fp-usa.com

Removing the LED Board: To remove the led board, simply remove the two screws and disconnect the cable from the main board. The 5 blue LED’s are used to illuminate the water tank. fp-usa.com

Removing the feeder main board mounting bracket: To remove the mounting bracket first remove the 3 screws. See the picture below. fp-usa.com

Removing the main board mounting bracket: Next cut all cable ties holding the sensor and motor cables to the mounting bracket. See the pictures below. fp-usa.com

Removing the main board mounting bracket: Next grasp the cables and simply separate the mounting bracket from the frame. See the pictures below. NOTE: The sensor bracket for LS2 and LS3 can now be removed easily. fp-usa.com

30 BACK FRONT Component removal base unit Removing the drive belts:
To remove the drive belts simply loosen the belt tension. See the pictures below. NOTE: The 2 belt tension brackets are self adjusting, to adjust the belt tension, loosen the screw, and rotate the belts one full revolution, then retighten the tension screws. BACK FRONT fp-usa.com

31 FRONT BACK Component removal base unit
Removing the encoder and drive motor: To remove the encoder and drive motor simply loosen the 3 motor mounting screws. See the pictures below. FRONT BACK fp-usa.com

Removing the Encoder and drive motor: When you remove the encoder or drive motor, it will free the inner drive belt on the side of the frame that the motor was removed from as shown in the picture below. Motor removed fp-usa.com

First connect the feeder to the base unit, then attach the letter receiving tray and the feeding deck. fp-usa.com
