Do procrastinators set goals? Don't procrastinate, set goals!

Is Goal Setting Important? “Success psychologists say that 95% - 97% of the people in the world do NOT have written goals and fail, while 3-5% have written goals and succeed.”-Brain Science and New Year’s Resolutions

GOALS FOR YOUR EIGHTH GRADE YEAR (first grade of your eighth grade year) (12pts.) Please think about where you would like to go and how you are going to get there. (High school, but what subjects interest you, then college, possibly an academic major.) One way to increase your chances of getting there is by setting some goals. On a sheet of paper, please list at least three academic goals and three non-academic goals. (6 pts.) Circle your “frog”. Explain in detail how you are going to achieve these goals. (6 pts.)

Hausdorf Goals Non Academic Spend more time with my daughter Work on finishing my basement Get more involved with motorcycle group, planning rides to North Georgia and Tennessee Academic To get 98% of my students to exceed standards Grade material in a timely fashion Become an expert in Georgia Studies material

Journal Entry- Must be ½ a page On a sheet of paper, I would like you to describe in detail how you are going to achieve your academic goals. Think about creating a plan to move you forward toward these goals. In other words, how are you going to adjust your lifestyle to achieve your goals? Journal Entries must be a minimum of a well written half page.

Homeroom If you turned in all your signed paperwork, go pick a locker from lockers Write your name and locker # on the little slip of paper and return to me, so I can put the combination on it. I’ll return this tomorrow. TAKEN LOCKERS:
