The Dominguez Hills First-Year Experience is a comprehensive model that integrates several evidence-based high impact practices known to increase student learning, persistence and overall success while decreasing time toward graduation. Provides academic and other forms of assistance to support the success of students during the summer prior to starting college and during your first year as a CSUDH student. Support Services include: Free/Low-Cost Summer Courses Academic Advising Summer Workshops Peer Mentors Supplemental Instruction/Tutoring Leadership Opportunities Laptop Loan Program!

Complete your accelerated summer course in only six weeks starting June 29, 2015 through August 7, 2015 (Early Start) or July-August (General Education)! Advisors will be on-hand to guide and support you throughout your summer experience. All incoming freshmen who: -Score 146 or below on EPT: (English Placement Test) Required to take ESE 99 only (1) Required to take ESE 88 & ENG 99 (2) -Score 48 or below on ELM: (Entry Level Mathematics exam) Required to take ESM 9 only Required to take ESM 3 & MAT 9 What? FREE or Low-Cost 6-week summer course(s) in math and/or English FREE Friday Workshops to help you make a successful transition from high school to college. FREE Advisors, Peer Mentors, & Tutors who are here to help you when challenges arise and provide you with the tools and information to be successful in college. FREE Lunch time activities & programs where you get to know your Peer Mentors, fellow students, and have fun in your new college community! When? June 27 – August 5 Monday – Friday from 8:30am - 4:30pm Where? At CSUDH Why? To help students accelerate one semester in completion of pre-college level math and English courses.

Who? All incoming freshmen who: Score 147 or above on EPT: (English Placement Test) Score 50 or above on ELM: (Entry Level Mathematics exam) Are exempt from pre-college level courses based on EAP, SAT, ACT, or AP test scores. What? FREE or Low-Cost 6-week GE Course FREE Afternoon Workshops to help you make a successful transition from high school to college. FREE Advisors, Peer Mentors, & Tutors who are here to help you when challenges arise and provide you with the tools and information to be successful in college. When? July - August Monday – Thursday (times will vary) Where? At CSUDH Why? To help students accelerate one semester in completion of required General Education courses.

 Submit application for admission by November 30 th  APPLY TO EOP!!!  Complete Intent to Enroll– by May 1st  Take EPT/ELM (if required to do so) - no later than May 2, 2015  Register for June NSO no later than June 1st  Submit final high school transcript(s) to the Office of Admissions and Records - by July 15 th *Final admissions decisions are based on student’s final high school transcript! *If required to complete Early Start:  Attend Summer Bridge Academy from June 27 – August 5 *If exempt from Early Start:  Attend GE Course from July - August
