4 (A – G)requirements must be completed by high school graduation with C grades or better. NO summer work after High School graduation will be accepted to meet admission requirements. Students must meet the minimum Eligibility Index. ALL students who wish to declare a major or minor in Music are required to audition in their major performing medium (vocal, instrumental, or keyboard) before a faculty panel.

Notification of admission begins after the application deadline. 6 Students will receive a Confirmation Letter via Postal Mail in 2-3 weeks. S tudents must activate their MyCSUStan portal and University email in order to view their admission status and important deadlines. This is the primary means of communication. I f any changes occur after the application has been submitted, students must send them to admissions@csustan.edu immediately, but no later than May 2013. R eminder: Students are conditionally admitted to the campus. Upon review of final transcripts, students will be rescinded if admission requirements are not met. Students must attend New Student Orientation (NSO) in order to register for courses. to register before the first day of classes.

8 If denied admissions and seeking an appeal, a 1-page letter from the student must be submitted to the Admissions Review Committee. Visit the admission website for further details on the process http://www.csustan.edu/admissions Appeal must be submitted no later than 2 weeks after receiving an admissions decision No letter of recommendation required Once petition has been reviewed, students will be contacted by mail with final decision within 2 weeks.

9 Test early: 3 opportunities (January, Feb., March) Ensures early New Student Orientation (NSO) o Students must attend NSO in order to register before the first day of classes Students will be required to participate in Early Start if not exempt. o ELM score of less than 50 o EPT score of less than 138 o If ELM/EPT scores are not on file SAT/ACT/EAP will be used
