Post Secondary Options Professional Pathway Community college (60 units or 2 years) then transfer to a four-year university to complete last two years Four-year colleges and universities Military Academies: –Military Academy - West Point, NY –Naval Academy – Annapolis, MD –Air Force Academy – Colorado Springs, CO –Coast Guard – New London, CT –Merchant Marines – Kings Port, NY
College and University Options Most Competitive: Stanford, Harvard, Yale, UCLA, USC, Berkeley, UPenn, Johns Hopkins, Duke, Northwestern, MIT, Cal Tech, Claremont Colleges, Military Academies, etc. Top 10% of class Weighted GPA of 4.0 or higher Enrolled in 4 to 5 honors/AP courses per year starting as a sophomore SAT’s of 2000 and above Less than 20% of total applicants admitted
College and University Options Highly Competitive: all other UC’s, Cal Poly SLO, SDSU, CSULB, Pepperdine, BYU, Chapman, University of Arizona, etc. Top 10 – 20% of your class Weighted GPA of 3.8 or higher Enrolled in 3 to 5 honors/AP courses per year starting as a sophomore SAT scores of 1800 and above Less than 40% of total applicants admitted
College and University Options Competitive: all other Cal State schools including: Cal State Fullerton, Cal Poly Pomona, Loyola Marymount, University of Redlands, etc. Top 50% of class GPA of 3.4 or higher SAT scores of 1500 and above
College and University Options Less Competitive: ASU, Azusa Pacific, Biola, Concordia, Point Loma, University of La Verne, out-of- state public universities, etc. Open to most students who meet minimum college entrance requirements
