How to Act With a Guest Teacher

Honor Our Guest Show the substitute teacher the same respect that you show your regular teacher. Do not be rude or disruptive while he or she is teaching the class. If your peers goof off and treat the guest teacher disrespectfully, refuse to join in- Be a leader, not a follower!!!!

Entering the Room Enter the classroom quietly and sit in your assigned seat if you have one. Answer to your name when the guest teacher takes attendance.

Classroom Routines The Guest Teacher. Just because his or her style or methods are different does not mean they are wrong. Help the guest teacher to learn the class routines and schedules if he or she asks for your help. Understand that everything is new for

Guest Teacher Requests Cooperate with the guest teacher and do what he or she asks you to if it is reasonable. If he or she makes unreasonable requests, discuss the problem with another teacher.

Do your part to make sure the class gets a good report! Follow instructions of the substitute teacher and do all the work that she asks you to do. Behave the way your regular teacher would expect you to behave. The substitute teacher will report back to your regular teacher to let him know how the class behaved.

Special Guest Teacher DTS DOLLARS The Guest Teacher will have DTS Dollars! Make sure you’re doing the right thing in order to be a candidate to receive one!
