About me. O I grew up in Birkenhead on the North Shore of Auckland with my parents and three brothers. O Currently living in Point Chevalier. O Graduated with a Bachelor of Education in 2006 from The University of Auckland.

My teaching experience. O Year 4/5 at Greenhithe School O Year 4/5 at Whenuapai School O 2008/2009- Year 3/4 at Whenuapai School O January 2010 till July Taught year 3 to year 6 at the London Oratory Catholic School for boys. O August 2010 till July Taught Year 4 at Christ Church C of E School in Ealing, London. O 2012 till Year 3/4 at Whenuapai School

Brainfood O We eat this every day at approximately 10am. O Should be a healthy choice such as fruit. O Avoid treat foods. O No nuts allowed.

Communication O O Room 11 Ultranet page Room 11 Ultranet page O Classroom letter box O Communication books O These should come to school and come home every day. O It is a good idea to keep them in your child’s book bag.

Home Learning O This goes home on Monday and is due in on Friday. O Coloured sheets may sometimes be glued into your child’s communication book. O A1 quality O Home learning reminder O Uniform reminder

Home Learning- Reading O All children have a reading log glued at the back of the communication book which needs to be filled in Monday to Thursday. O Read with an adult for 10 minutes a night. O Lions, Cheetah, Tigers and Puma will recieve four books a week. O Jaguar and Panther will recieve two books a week. O Can also read other books/items from home. O Readers that are sent home must come back to school.

Home Learning- Maths O Only Year 3s need to complete this. O Children need to complete one half page at the front and one full page at the back each week. O A guide to show you which pages to do is glued at the front of the communication book. O Should only take 30 minutes a week. O Do not be embarrassed if you do not understand what you’re child is supposed to do. O Feel free to mark these yourself! O All books will be marked and handed back each Friday.

Home Learning- Spelling O These are written in each Friday for the following week. O The spelling groups are based on the Schonell spelling test. O They will be practiced every morning at school with a buddy. O These also need to be practiced at home every day. O It is also useful for children to show that they know what their spelling words mean. O End of week spelling tests will be completed in their communication books.

Standards and expectations O Arrival time is before 9am. O Some stationery may need to be replenished each term. O Book bags and communication books need to be at school every day. O Hats are compulsory in Term 1 and Term 4. O Uniform needs to be correct- O Black shoes and black or navy socks. O Correct hats and jumpers. O Navy blue shorts or skorts. O No nail polish O Plain headbands O Any shirts underneath must be tucked in and not visible.

Parent help O There will be opportunities to help on trips throughout the year. O Parents Maths and Reading will be starting soon. O In class help is welcome (not until the second half of Term 1) O All parents helpers must be Police Vetted. O All parents helpers need to sign the Parent help agreement as well.
