10 Reading and Homework Expectations
It is essential that your child reads every day for at least 30 minutes. Please feel free to communicate with us, and comment on their reading, in the Reading Log book. Homework will be set each Friday and should be handed in on different days during the week following. A weekly homework sheet will go home on a Friday to explain what is due in when. Subjects other than English and Maths may be included. English is usually due on a Tuesday and Maths on a Wednesday. (Please note this is set on alternate weeks initially.) Spellings will be set on Fridays and will be tested the following Thursday. We encourage children to take responsibility for their own homework, including remembering to hand it in on time. If there are any problems with homework please come and see us immediately.
