She asked me to buy some eggs SUGGESTIONS: Suggested that + pronoun + verb in past simple Example Mike: Let’s go to the park! Mike suggested that we went to the park

COMMANDS: TYPES Informal Say / Tell + infinitive ( My Father said: “Don’t smoke!”) Remove commas and quotes My father said don’t smoke Chose between: said / told me My father told me don’t smoke Change the verb to an infinitive ( to + verb ) My father told me not to smoke Formal Say / Tell + should ( My Mother said: “Call me when you get here”) Remove commas and quotes Optionally: add a relative pronoun (that) Add a pronoun: I, we, he, she, they Change the verb: should + verb My Mother said: “Call me when you get here” My mother said ( that ) I should call him when I arrived there
